The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Petroleum Process Engineering – Tikrit University is considered one of the active units that aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of students, graduates, and professionals in both the public and private sectors. This is achieved through organizing training programs, courses, and specialized workshops in petroleum engineering and related sciences. The unit also seeks to:

• Improve the efficiency of engineering and technical staff.

• Strengthen communication between the College, the local community, and industrial sectors.

• Keep pace with technological advancements in the fields of oil and gas.

• Support graduates and students with preparatory workshops for the labor market.

• Organize specialized courses in drilling, production, transportation, and processing.

• Provide training workshops on engineering software such as Petrel, MATLAB, and AutoCAD.

• Hold scientific seminars in collaboration with experts and petroleum institutions.

• Issue participation certificates accredited by the University.

The Unit provides the prescribed textbooks approved by the College and the specialized committee of the College of Petroleum Process Engineering and distributes them to students of all academic stages at the beginning of each year. Records are maintained with the students’ names for the purpose of distribution and signature for the required courses of each stage. At the end of the academic year, students are required to return all textbooks in their possession to the Unit, with updates carried out periodically as needed.
