Publishing Scientific Research in Reputable, Peer-Reviewed International Journals with Recognized Global Indexing

Faculty members from the Department of Petroleum Refining and Gas Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Amer Talal Nawaf and Lecturer Jasim Ibrahim Hamadi, in collaboration with researchers from several Iraqi universities, have published two scientific research papers in internationally recognized journals. One paper was published in a first-quartile (Q1) journal, while the other appeared in a third-quartile (Q3) journal. The published studies focused on the development of advanced technologies for industrial wastewater treatment, including wastewater generated from oil fields.

The first research paper, entitled:

“Synthesis of Mn₃O₄/nano-activated carbon composite and its application for heavy metal removal in a digital baffle adsorption reactor,”

was published in the internationally recognized Swiss journal Nanotechnology for Environmental Engineering, issued by the global publisher Springer Nature. The journal is classified within the first quartile (Q1), indexed in Scopus, and has a CiteScore of 7.7.

The second research paper, entitled:

“Photo-Catalytic Degradation for Organic Removal from Iraqi Oilfield Produced Wastewater: Experimental, Optimization, Kinetic and Economic Insights Study,”

was published in the international Greek journal Global NEST Journal, issued by Global NEST Publishers. This journal is classified within the third quartile (Q3), indexed in Scopus, and has a CiteScore of 1.4.
