Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamad Abdullah, Dean of the College of Petroleum Process Engineering, the College organized a scientific symposium entitled:
“Monitoring and Implementing the Iraqi National Security Strategy (Iraq First) for the Years 2025–2030.”
The symposium was attended by the Scientific Assistant, Dr. Omar Yassin, the Administrative Assistant, Dr. Jawad Hamad, the Heads of Academic Departments, as well as a number of faculty members and researchers.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Wathiq Abdul-Kareem Hammoud, a faculty member at the College of Law, who reviewed the key pillars of the Iraqi National Security Strategy, highlighting the challenges and opportunities facing its implementation in the upcoming stage, and emphasizing the role of universities and research centers in supporting its execution.
This event came in response to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and was coordinated with the Continuing Education Unit at the College, reflecting the College’s commitment to fulfilling its scientific and societal mission.
In his speech, the Dean stressed the College’s keenness to actively contribute to serving society by holding such scientific events that strengthen the integration between the academic sector and state institutions, thereby reinforcing the principle of “Iraq First.”
